DAY:16

I finally made up for all the sleep I missed. I slept like a dead person for an entire twelve hours. I would have slept longer if it wasn’t for chechi. She was planting her tiny garden in our room, and all that noise disturbed my sleep. When I opened my eyes, I asked her for the time. She told me it was four in the evening, and I didn’t question it one bit. I’m completely capable of sleeping through the day, and have done this on multiple occasions. But since there was a call scheduled at four, to discuss about next plan of action for INCOGNITO, I dragged myself of the bed and went to freshen up. This is when I realised it’s only two in the afternoon. I’m pretty sure I would have gone back to sleep if she hadn’t lied.

The first thing I did was take a quick bath. When I got out, I did my usual clean up around the house. By the time I was done, the time was three fifteen, and I was starving. I was so happy to see prawns curry for lunch. I’m one of those people who prefer sea food over meat, and prawns is my absolute favourite. By the time I was done with lunch it was almost four. I decided to check what the topics were for today’s class, before the call started. The conclusion of the call was, I have ended up with more work than I initially imagined. But it’s fine I’m kind of excited to do it. After the call ended, I sat to attend the class, but my wi-fi was too slow and the videos weren’t loading. I lost my patience after a couple of minutes, and decided I’ll do it tomorrow.

I was now left with a lot of free time. I thought I’ll take Pablo for a walk, but just then it started to rain. I felt as though the universe was against me today. Everything I wanted to do, I was unable to do them. Having nothing to do I thought I’ll go lie down for a bit. That’s when Theresa called, she was having it worse. She was all alone at home, and from ten in the morning there was a power outage. She was bored out of her mind. I couldn’t understand a single thing she said, and I guess neither did she. She was starting to lose it. After a long silence she was bored of me as well. By the time she cut the call the rain stopped. Honestly, by now I had lost the mood to go for a walk. And chechi was talking about baking focaccia bread; no clue what it is.

Since she was going to buy the ingredients, I decided to join her with Pablo. The three of us got dressed, and left together. Only when we parted did I realise what a wrong decision it was.  As chechi walked towards the shop Pablo cried his heart out. Somehow, we managed to take one round but the whole time he was waking as though a part of him was lost. He was such a depressed dog, until he was united again with chechi. We took another round before heading back home.  Just as we were entering the building, In the blink of an eye, a bird shat on him. He was just given a bath yesterday. He’s probably going through a bad phase in his life. I mean having to bathe on two consequent days is his biggest nightmare.

After giving Pablo a bath chechi started to create the focaccia bread. The dough is ready, but since it has to rise for at least twelve hours. Only tomorrow will I know what exactly it is. We’ll have it for “tea” tomorrow; like the Englishmen.
